The Ibrag Chapel Our Lady Immaculate Mother of God, was built more than 30 years ago. It was consecrated on the 13th February 1966

On 4th April 1999, Easter Sunday, the Ibrag Church was inaugurated as the Parish Church.

Madliena Chapel

Madliena Chapel

The English people built the present Madliena Chapel in Triq il-Madiena in 1880.

This was built instead of the old one, which was demolished so that the Fort would be built instead.

Valleys

There are two valleys, Wied Ghomor and Wied il-Kbir. These valleys are built with the rubble wall, which is a symbolic characteristic for the rural areas. Few of these walls are passageways among the fields.

In Swieqi there are 3 main gardens, one in Swieqi Road named after the author Francis X. Ebejer, one in Triq il-Hemel named after St. Andrews and one in Triq il-Barmil named Victoria Gardens.

In 2000 Ibrag and Madliena became hamlets. Swieqi day is celebrated on the 30th November annually.
